Repatriate Service brings home people who have died abroad, or their ashes. We arrange repatriation from any country to any country, and we look after your family from the first message to the arrival home. You deal with one point of contact throughout.

Bringing them home

Collection from where they died, mortuary care, a coffin suitable for air transport, the local paperwork and the flight home. At the other end, collection at the home airport and delivery to the funeral home, or to your own funeral director if they are collecting.

Cremation there, then bringing the ashes home

Collection, the local paperwork, cremation in the country where they died, and sending the ashes home to your door.

Bringing ashes home

If the cremation has already happened, or someone else is arranging it, we handle the paperwork and send the ashes home.

How it works

1. Tell us what has happened using the form above. Documents such as the death certificate are not needed for the quote. They can follow later, before the arrangements are made.
2. We check the official requirements for leaving the country where your loved one died and for arriving home.
3. We prepare one quote that sets out what is included and what is not.
4. If you accept the quote, we confirm the arrangements and keep you informed until your loved one is home.

What it costs

The cost depends on where your loved one died, where home is, whether the local authorities order a post-mortem, and the flight. We send one written quote for your case before anything is arranged, so you know what is included before you decide. For a sense of scale, our cost page sets out the price ranges repatriation firms publish, with their sources and dates. If the person had travel insurance, contact the insurer first, because many policies cover repatriation.
