The Kuwaiti funeral home takes custody at Kuwait International Airport (KWI) cargo terminal. The Ministry of Interior (Civil ID directorate) records the death. Muslim remains require procedures in accordance with Islamic law and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs may be involved. A Kuwaiti health authority clearance is required before any final disposition. All foreign documents not in Arabic require certified Arabic translation.
