Death registration is handled by the Registrar General of Zimbabwe. Death certificates are issued in English, one of Zimbabwe's official languages. Zimbabwe is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention; apostille certificates are accepted for documents issued by member states. Foreign documents in languages other than English require certified translation. An embalming certificate and hermetically sealed coffin are required for all air imports.
