The death is registered through the NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) system via the relevant Union Council or hospital. Documentation is in Urdu and English. Police take jurisdiction for violent or unexplained deaths. Pakistan is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention; full consular authentication is required for international documentation.
