When the body arrives in Zambia
The Zambian funeral director takes custody at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport Lusaka (LUN) cargo terminal, or Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport Ndola (NLA) for the Copperbelt region. Death registration is handled by the Registrar of Births Marriages and Deaths, under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security. Death certificates are issued in English, the official language of Zambia. Zambia is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention; full consular authentication through the Zambian High Commission or Embassy in the country of origin is required. Foreign documents in languages other than English require certified English translation. Zambia is a Commonwealth member.
