The Barbadian funeral director takes custody at Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) cargo terminal. Death registration in Barbados is handled by the Registration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Death certificates are issued in English, the official language. Barbados acceded to the Hague Apostille Convention in 2019; apostille certificates from member states are accepted for relevant documents. Barbados is a Commonwealth member.
