The Kuwaiti funeral home takes custody at Kuwait International Airport (KWI) cargo terminal. The Ministry of Interior (Civil ID directorate) records the death. Muslim remains require procedures in accordance with Islamic law and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs may be involved. A Kuwaiti health authority clearance is required before any final disposition. All foreign documents not in Arabic require certified Arabic translation. The process
What happens after a death in Azerbaijan

A death that is violent, suspicious or unexplained falls under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office, which may require a post-mortem first. With the paperwork complete, the body is embalmed, sealed in a zinc-lined coffin, and cleared for export before being flown to Kuwait as air cargo. A funeral director in Kuwait then takes custody. The full process most often takes 1-2 weeks.
