Death registration in Cambodia is handled by the Ministry of Interior via the commune or sangkat (sub-district) civil registry. Death certificates are issued in Khmer; all foreign documents require certified Khmer translation. Cambodia is not a Hague Apostille Convention member; full consular authentication of all foreign documents is required by Cambodian authorities.
