The road transfer isn’t really a complication

Rimini’s Federico Fellini International Airport is the standard choice, about 30 minutes away, and it’s the option most specialist firms use by default. Bologna is roughly an hour and offers more frequent UK connections when timing works better through that route instead.

There are no cremation facilities within San Marino itself, so a family choosing cremation over full repatriation needs the body transferred into Italy first, where standard Italian civil law procedures apply. It’s an established route, not an improvised one, and the ashes come home to the UK afterward in the ordinary way.
